Tomorrow we head to France. Today was an emotional roller coaster:
We posted on French Craigslist looking for a place.
We got a reply with a beautiful place which was larger than we expected and included all of the utilities and internet and so on. They said there were many people interested in the place.
We then structured a giant response to try and convince this person that we would be the best tennants. We thought about this dream place all day. We got the reply saying that we seemed great and it would be a great fit. BUT... the guy is in Texas and needs to fly back to Montpellier once he gets our security deposit. At this point I google the first few sentences of his email and found them verbatim on websites warning about scams.
So all of a sudden we go from finding our dream place to needing to scramble down numbers of agencies and real places before its time to go home and pack for the long day tomorrow. That stunk...
So we have a hotel (only for three nights because when we booked it we were sure that we would have this place by friday). We have our train reservations for tomorrow. But we have no idea where we will be on Friday night. Wish us luck...
